Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad Admission 2013
Admission for Spring Semester for Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad(AIOU) has been announced in MS/ Mphil/ MSc Hon/ PhD Programs and according to the officials the spring semester admission will be starts from 10th of this month that is December, 2012. Those students who wants to take admission in these programs mentioned above can collect their application form and submit it back to the AIOU official before 14th January, 2012. There are total Rs. 500/- fee for taking the prospectus along with the application form of the Allama Iqbal Open University for Spring Semester.
Director of AIOU Syed Zia-Ul-Hasnain said while making the announcement for the spring semester admission that PhD Programs are offered in Urdu, Islamic Studies, Iqbal Studies, Chemistry, Physics and Pakistani Languages & Literature and also specialization in many languages like Pushto, Balochi, Brahu, Sindhi, Saraiki or Punjabi. On the other hand in MPhil AIOU offer Mass Communication, Islamic Studies, Iqbal Studies, Chemistry and Arabic.

Candidates those wants to take admission in these programs must have a valid score in the NTS GAT General subjects test as this is taken by the National Testing Service (NTS) and te result of this test is valid for 2 years so if you have a valid certificate tan you can apply for this spring admission. Remaining all those who do not have appear in GAT an apply for the test by going online to the NTS website so that they can appear in the coming GAT test and the schedule for the next GAT test are as follow.
Registration date: 5th to 8th December, 2012
GAT (General Test): 30th December, 2012
Result Announcement: 2nd January, 2013
Some Important Information:
- GAT (Subject) is required to pass for admission in PhD programs
- GAT (General) is required to pass for admission in MS, MPhil and MSc(Hon) programs
- Submit admission forms to concerned department of AIOU till;
- If you have already passed GAT (General/Subject) from NTS, attach result card with admission form
- If you have not passed the GAT (General/Subject) from NTS, get registered and attach copy of NTS registration form with admission form
