When she declared to become a nurse they opposed her but she did not give in. At last, she was allowed to go for training .during the Crimean war she played a great role. For his services, the nation thankfully presented her a purse of £ 45,000. With this money she founded an institution for training nursed in London. At present, there are many training institutes for nurses in our country.
