The term ideology means science of ideas, manner of thinking, visionary speculations, social or political theory or system. It is based on those ideas which a nation strives to bring stability to its nationhood.

IDEOLOGY OF PAKISTAN:
Pakistan’s ideology is based on the ideals of Islamic system. Its basic principle is:
“The only sovereign is ALLAH”

ISLAMIC WAY OF LIFE:
The ideology ofPakistanbasically means that Muslims have an opportunity to live according to their own faith and based on Islamic principles. Quaid-e-Azam said that:
“The Muslims demandPakistanwhere they can rule in accordance with their own system of life, their cultural developments, their traditions and Islamic laws”.
TWO NATION CONCEPTS:
The ideology ofPakistanis based on Two Nation theory which in its simplest way means the cultural, political, social, economic and religious dissimilarities between two or communities of sub continent, namelyIndiaandPakistanas Quaid-e-Azam summed it:
“We have our distinctive out look on life and of life. By all cannons of international law we are a nation.”
FACTORS CREATING IDEA OF SEPRATE HOMELAND:
The ideology ofPakistanwas created when the Muslims realized their differences with the Hindus and due to the Hindus and British prejudice, hatred for Muslims, Anti Muslim campaign, Hindu betrayed Muslims, Refusal of Muslim identity, in acceptance of British rule, War of 1857, Sir Syed idea of separate Muslim state.
IDEOLOGY OF PAKISTAN IN THE LIGHT OF SAYINGS OF QUAID-E-AZAM:
The great leader of Muslims Quaid-e-Azam gave a practical shape to the concept of ideology put forward by Allama Iqbal. Here are some of the extracts taken from his speeches:
ADDRESS AT THE SECOND ROUND TABLE CONFERENCE:
Quaid-e-Azam believed that Hindus and Britisher will never recognize the rights of Muslims. Therefore at the second round table conference he said:
“The Hindus Muslims dispute should be settled before the enforcement of any system or constitution. Until you do not guarantee of safe guards of Muslim interest, until you do not win their co-operation. Any constitution you enforce shall never last for even 24 hours.
ADDRESS AT PAKISTAN RESOLUTION:
At annual session of the Muslim league Quaid-e-Azam said:
“The Musalmans are not minority. They are a nation by any definition.”
ADDRESS ON MARCH 8, 1944:
While addressing the student ofMuslimUniversityhe said:
“Hindus and Muslims though living together in same towns and villages had never been considered as one nation. They were always two separate entities.”
ADDRESS AT ISLAMIA COLLEGE PESHAWAR:
While addressing the student ofIslamiaCollegehe said:
“We do not demandPakistansimply to have a piece of land. But we want a laboratory where we could experiment on our Islamic principles.”
IDEOLOGY OF PAKISTAN IN LIGHT OF SAYING ALLAMA IQBAL:
In his presidential address at the annual session of Muslim league he said:
“I am fully convinced that the Muslims of India will ultimately have to establish a separate homeland as they could not live with the Hindus inUnited States.”
He also said:
“Indiais a continent of human beings belonging to different languages professing different religions. I, therefore demand the formation of consolidated Muslim state in the best interest ofIndiaand Islam.”
IMPORTANCE OF IDEOLOGY IN NATIONAL LIFE:
Ideology is a motivating force of a nation who is striving to bring stability to its nation hood.
It provides binding force to scattered groups and unites them to one platform.
ACCOMPLISHMENT OF GOALS:
Ideology impels their adherence to form joint linked action for accomplishment of their goals.
The fundamental concept of ideology ofPakistanmeans that Muslims are a nation having their own culture, religion and Islamic way of life. They cannot be merged into another nation. They should be able to develop a true Islamic society for themselves. In short:
“The ideology ofPakistanmeans a separate chunk of land where in the Muslims of the subcontinent will defend Islamic culture and civilization”.
