Q-1) An ideal gas exerts a pressure of 1.52 MP a when its temperature is 298.15K and its volume is 1O²m³. Find

1. How many moles of gas are there?

2. What is the mass density if the gas is molecular hydrogen H2?

3. What is the mass density if the gas is oxygen O2?

Given H = 1.008 gm, 😯 = 16gm.

(n = 6.13, PH = 1.23 x 10³ Kg/m³,Po= 19.6 Kg/m³)

Q-2) If 2.1212 gm of monatomic gas occupies 1.49 ml, when the temperature is 0 ˚C and the pressure is 810.6 KPa. What is the gas?

(M = 3.99 x 10-³ Kg/mole, He)

Q-3) Use the general gas law to compute the density of methane at 20˚ C and 5 atm pressure. A kilo mole of methane is 16 Kg. Given R = 8.314 J/mole-K, 1 atm = 1.013 x 105 N/m².

(3.326 Kg/m³)

Q-4) Calculate the volume occupied by a gram mole of a gas at 0°C and a pressure of 1 atmosphere.

(0.0224m³ / mole)

Q-5) Calculate the Vrms of hydrogen molecule at 0˚C and 1 atmosphere. Given R = 8.314 J/mole-K, P = 1.01 x 15 5 N/m², p = 8.99 x 10 -2 Kg/m³

(1.835.86 m/s)

Q-6)

Calculate the root mean square speed of hydrogen molecule at 800K

(3 146.3m/s)

Q-7) Calculate the root mean square speed of hydrogen at 371.5K.

  (2.148m/s)
