OU Regents to consider construction projects

NORMAN — The governing board for the University of Oklahoma will consider reconstruction projects on its Norman campus and pay raises for dozens of employees during its regular meeting.
The OU Board of Regents will meet Thursday at the Oklahoma Memorial Union. The board also will consider items for Cameron University in Lawton and Rogers State University in Claremore.
The board will consider preliminary designs to convert the Van Vleet Oval into a pedestrian mall from Lindsey Street to the Brooks Pedestrian Mall that runs north of the football stadium. Plans call for the new mall to be dubbed Scholars Walk.
The board also will consider several improvements to the University Club and pay increases for dozens of university employees.
