SPECIFIC RATE CONSTANT:

If the concentration of reactants is unity (1) for a chemical reaction then the value of rate constant becomes equal to the rate of reaction, in such a case rate constant is called specific rate constant.

dx/dt = K[Reactants]

[Reactants] = 1mol/dm³ or M

dx/dt = K(1)

dx/dt = K

Something unusual and perhaps english homework answers breaking down bypass the book.
