PESHAWAR (APP): Speakers at a seminar “STEP UP Youth” held in UET Peshawar talked about the youth leadership, innovation and idea commercialization.

Scholarship Fund Issue for Primary Girl Students in Peshawar

Peshawar, The Provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhaw has issued funds for grant of scholarships to the girl students of primary classes. The funds will be met with the cooperation of the international organization for the girl students living in Peshawar.


According to the well known sources, the scholarship funds will be distributed altogether to the 36240 girl students of Peshawar up to primary level for Rs.1200 which is the amount for the period of 6 months. The Education department has completed all paper work and now they will issue the scholarship to the girl students up to primary class.


The District Education Officer said that this scholarship amount is distributed among the girl students with the objective to increase the ratio of the girl students in the whole province and give the awareness to the society so that their girls may get education. With the provision of the scholarships, the financial problems of various families will also mitigate and they will be ready to send their girls to the schools. It is also said that scholarship up to Rs.200 were already distributed in some girls schools and now it will be provided to all the government schools students of the city.

Girls clinched all the top positions in Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (BSc) annual examination 2012 conducted by the University of Peshawar (UoP).

UoP Controller Examinations Dr Rasheed Khan declared the result at a press conference. UoP Acting Vice-Chancellor Dr Qibla Ayaz and others were also present on the occasion.

BISE Peshawar HSSC result

Muzhda Subhan, a pre-medical group student of Jinnah College for Women (JCW), has set a record by securing 1,019 marks of total 1,100 marks and top position in FA/FSc examinations held under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Peshawar. The board announced the names of position-holders in a ceremony on Tuesday and detailed results would be released today (Wednesday).

The overall top three positions went to the pre-medical group, according to the results. Saba Noor got second position with 1,018 marks and Mishal Shahab stood third with 1,014 marks. Both are also students of Jinnah College for Women (JCW), University of Peshawar.

Peshawar University Introduces Distance Learning Program for Afghan Students

Peshawar, Peshawar University has decided to extend its distant learning programs for the Afghan students. The University has agreement with Nangarhar University of Afghanistan for research programs. Earlier Peshawar University and University of Kabul are already executing different research projects.


This was stated by the Vice Chancellor of Peshawar University Dr Qibla Ayaz while talking with a three member delegation of Canadian High Commissioner. The delegation was led by the Political Counselor Denis Chouinard. He also explained that the people of Pakistan and Afghanistan are bound in mutual relationships with each other and they have relations across the border so there movements across the border could not be stopped.

The other members of the delegation including Christopher Martin, Analust Asia Division for Canadian government and Uday Sequeira, first secretary (political) of the Canadian High Commission Islamabad. During this meeting with the three member delegation of the Canadian High Commission, Prof Babar Shah and Director of Pakistan Studies center Prof Fakhr ul Islam were also present in the meeting.

BISE Peshawar SSC Annual Exams 2013

Peshawar, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Peshawar has issued the schedule for 9th & 10th Class (Annual) Examination 2013. The exams would start from Wednesday 13th of March, 2013.

Regular candidates can submit Admission forms along with single fee till Dec 14, 2012 while Private candidates can submit till Dec 31, 2012.

For Private Candidates of (SSC Supply Examination 2012) Last date with normal fee will be within 15 days after the declaration of SSC (S) 2012 result.

Convocation at Peshawar University will be held on 27th Nov

Peshawar, In the Peshawar University, a meeting for the 2012 Convocation day was held under the Dean of Faculty of Numerical and Physical Science Prof. Dr. Muhammad Riyaz, in which all the preparations were finally discussed. In the meeting, it was decided that the parents of gold medalist graduations will be personally invited. The Convocation will start on 27th November, at 10 in the morning, whereas the students will have to come one hour before the ceremony.


Electronic devices are strictly forbidden. On the final dress rehearsal, on 26th November, all the students should be present. Controller Prof. Dr. Abdur Rasheed Khan told that in the convocation, for the session 2010, the degrees will be distributed among 481 students, among which 309 Female and 172 Male students are included.

For scoring first position, gold medals will be distributed among 27 students, and degrees will also be distributed among 10 PHD and 11 M-Phil scholars. Deputy Director EIT Irfan Allah Khan said in the meeting that all the preparations for broadcasting convocation directly from University of Peshawar have been completed.

PESHAWAR: The University of Peshawar (UoP) and Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, Iran, here Saturday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for mutual cooperation.

A press release said the MoU was signed to work jointly in the fields of mutual interest besides exchangingstudents.

It added that the MoU would remain effective for five years. It was signed by UoP acting Vice-Chancellor Dr Qibla Ayaz and Shiraz Medical University Vice-Chancellor Muhammad Hadi Imanieh here. Keep Reading…
