A branch of science that deals with inter conservation of Heat Energy and Kinetic
Energy is known as “THERMODYNAMIC”.
A real or imaginary part of universe which is under observation or consideration is known as system.
TYPE OF SYSTEM
1. Open System:
A system in which both mass and energy can be transferred inside or out side the system is called “OPEN SYSTEM”
2. Closed System:
A system in which only energy can be transferred inside or outside the system but mass remains constant is called “CLOSED SYSTEM”
3. Isolated System:
A system in which both mass and energy cannot be transferred inside or outside the system is known as “ISOLATED SYSTEM” Universe is an example of isolated system.
The remaining part of universe other than a system can be termed as surroundings of the system. Surroundings must be effective on the system.
A real or imaginary line that separates a system from its surroundings is called “BOUNDARY”.
The description of properties of a system like pressure, temperature, moles, etc is known as “STATE OFTHE SYSTEM”.
5. Change of:
If any of these properties is changed then we can say that system is changing its state from initial to final state.
