Q1. What the philosophical idea do you get from the poem “Under The Greenwood Tree”?

Ans. The philosophical idea of the poem “Under the green wood tree” is that simplicity is the only way to make life joyful, peaceful, and contented, because the singer and his companions have experienced the grandeur of court and palace life as well as the misfortunes and miseries brought about the human enemies. But presently, in their simple life they are leading in theForest of Arden, they have no longer human enemy.

According to the singer the forest life is free from dangers and conspiracy so he invites others to join the, he persuades his invitation by telling them that life in the forest is free from enemies and his carefree life is more calm and quiet and although enjoyable as well.
